The MCP Server speaks the Model Context Protocol. Any compatible host connects to one endpoint. This page is for hosts that can send your API key in a request header. If your host only supports OAuth sign-in and cannot set a custom header — Claude Cowork is the common case — use Connecting an OAuth-Only Agent instead.
MCP Endpoint
All hosts connect to the same production URL:

Authentication
Every request must include your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Your API key is provisioned when you sign up for the MCP Server. Treat it like any other secret — do not commit it to version control or share it in chat logs.
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
If you do not have an API key, request a free trial. The key starts with ezt_. Treat it like any other secret.
Claude Desktop Configuration
Claude Desktop stores MCP server configuration in a JSON file. The file location depends on your operating system:

After saving the file, restart Claude Desktop. The EasyTerritory tools will appear in the available tools list. You can verify by asking Claude: “List the EasyTerritory tools you have available.”
OpenClaw Configuration
OpenClaw manages MCP servers through its gateway configuration file, typically located at ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json. Add the EasyTerritory server under the mcpServers key:

Restart the OpenClaw gateway after saving:

Generic MCP Host Configuration
Any client that implements the MCP V2 specification (2026-07-28) can connect. The server exposes a streamable HTTP transport at the root URL. Your client needs three pieces of information:

Most MCP-compatible clients accept a configuration block similar to the examples above. If your client uses a different config format, refer to its documentation for how to register a remote MCP server with custom headers.
Verifying the Connection
Once your agent is configured, verify the connection by asking it to call the get_guidance tool. This tool returns a guidance handle with server status information — no map or data required.
Try saying:
“Call get_guidance and tell me what it returns.”
A successful response includes a guidance_handle (a short string you can reference in later calls) and a summary of available capabilities. If you see this, your connection is working correctly.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| 401 Unauthorized | Missing or incorrect API key | Verify the Authorization header is set to Bearer YOUR_API_KEY with no extra spaces. Confirm the key is active. |
| Connection refused / timeout | Wrong URL or network issue | Confirm the URL is exactly https://mcp.easyterritory.ai/ (including the trailing slash). Check firewall and proxy settings. |
| 404 Not Found | Trailing slash missing or path appended | The server listens at the root path. Do not append /mcp or any other suffix. |
| Tools not listed in agent | Config file not reloaded | Restart the host application after saving the config file. Claude Desktop requires a full quit and relaunch. |
| Empty guidance response | Server temporarily unavailable | Wait a few minutes and retry. If the problem persists, email [email protected]. |
